I am planning to design a game on Gamefroot
This is a platform that allows you to play and create your own games.

The background I have chosen is a night scene. It depicts night with a dark purple colour and stars. The terrain I chose is one with snow/

Manipulating Images

In my DGM class I have been manipulating images using photoshop.
First I chose a bulb photo which I added into photoshop. Then in a separate layer I got a water image and merged the two together to give the appearance of water being inside the bulb.

What is a pixel?

There are thousand of pixels that make up the images you will see on a screen/
Pixels are made up of three colours which consist of, red, green and blue.
The varying amount of each different colour in the pixel will change the overall colour.

Failure is a Way to Success

Failure changed to Success
I chose J. K. Rowling to represent a failure turned to success. Soon after starting work on the first Harry Potter book, Joanne's mother passed away. This caused her to sink into a grieving depression and little work on her book was completed.
She was also divorced and left to care for her young daughter herself.
When her novel was complete it was rejected many times by different publishers.
After 12 rejections she felt ready to give up. Until one publisher's child read the first few chapters and begged for it to get published.
Something I took away from her story is to never stop trying even when everything seems hopeless.

A winter in Greymouth. The world in the morning is grey and cold. The reluctance to get out of bed and start the day stronger than ever before. Stepping out the door the wind whips against any exposed skin. The ground damp from the rain earlier. But little frost is visible. The grass soggy underfoot, instead of crunchy, as should be. The brisk cold days bring wild winds and clear blue skies. The black, wet days bring heavy, grey clouds and soaking rain. Some trees stand stark against the sky, bare corpses. Yet most remain green with leaves. Evergreens. Year after year, a pleading for snow. Yet only the mountains in the distance are scattered with a thin covering at their peaks. I wish for white days. For snowmen and snow fights. Followed by thawing out in front of an open fire, drinking hot chocolate. Give me a winter, Greymouth.
